my 2002 mitsubishi montero sport AWD wont shift into gears when cold... i have to sit there and race the motor till it shifts.... after the truck warms up it shifts good... it is not low on fluid... also it wont idle .... some times it idles good but most time i have to keep my feet on the gas and break...

 

check your eng temp sensors

 

what does the temp. sensor have to do with this problem

 

it tells the tcm what to do

what is TCM

 

transmission control module..... what manual are you using for your info ???
