Default When to change my car battery?

Hi guys, I have searched on the internet and I can't find my answer and I'm hoping you guys can help me

At what mileage would I need to change my car battery? I am currently at 67800. My car died twice in January. I had it charged and it has been working fine since. I took it to Autozone and had it check and they said it was really bad. I don't know if it's really bad since I'm a girl and I fear they were taking advantage of me.

THanks for the help in advanced!

How old is the car/battery? 67,000 miles sounds good if you did normal driving. I find most Auto Zone workers to be honest(but I'm a male).

As said, anything after 3 years wouldn't shock me if they went bad.

Thanks for the response guys! My car is at 67800 miles right now. Since you guys are saying that the battery usually last about 3 yrs, and the car right now is at 5, the battery was in good shape for that long then. The autozone guy said it was very bad and can die any minute. I went ahead and changed the battery but I was told by male friends that car dealership batteries should last about 7-8 years depending on usage. But how can I determine that without being taken advantage of?

I'm also a girl, I find the guys at AutoZone to be very honest. Batteries wear out differently depending on your usage and the type of battery you have. Your car has very low mileage and the battery has never been changed in the 5 years you've had it. To me it just sounds logical you replace it, even just to give yourself that piece of mind.
