Default would it be cheaper?

theres a giant gash/paint scratch/dent on the drivers side door of my car ...

the person i bought this car from was offering me a green door off a talon in a junk yard ....

would it be cheaper to replace the door and get the door painted white?
OR
just bondo and get the original door rapaired and painted?

it would help to see the extent of the damage. But pending that its not an incredible ammount of damage i would think it would be cheaper to repair it

it's a catch 22... bondo'ing a door is extremely cheap (i had a front fender dent bondo'd for 60 bucks) it's the paint that kills you. so i think instalation of the door, wires, switches, etcwould cost more than the body work to get the dent fixed.

bondo has to be "pre ordered"??? um, no. you can get bondo a.k.a. body filler from a lot of places. i don't think that autozone or places like that but any body shop should have it on hand... it's what they use daily. can you drywall? i mean can you spackle puddy on a wall? well it's basically the same thing... you could honestly do it yourself if you had any kind of knowlege in someting like that... all they would have to do is give it a good sanding and paint it.

The cheapest thing to do is to go to advance auto and buy the big can of body filler aka bondo. As seen below a gallon jug of the stuff. This set up comes with hardener for 16.96$. But some sand paper and have at it. for under 20$ you can have the hole filled up with bondo. Now paint is going to get you.
