2.0l outlander sport header options / lancer header?
Hello,
ive inherited this 14’ outlander sport which seems to be having issues with the cat/header- I had never seen this before and don’t know if it is a good design- but it does seem potentially restrictive in a detrimental way.... bad cat causes back pressure at the engine?!
im looking at needing to replace the unit and would much rather replace it with a conventional header-
1. Is this a common mod? What potential issues am I running into if I install a lancer header in the outlander?
2. where people install headers where are they placing the first c02 sensor? I don’t see a bung on the headers. I’d likely run without a cat and with a c02 diverter until I need to have the exhaust system done then have an inline cat placed.
3. this is a commuter car- not performance, what economy header is recommended? I assume that the cat with heat shield is pretty well insulated- is everyone wrapping the headers on these?
