I have replaced my factory headers on my 2001 eclipse rs with an obx header, now i am throwing a p0421 . Is there a way i can get around that and stop the code or do i need to find a header with a cat on it. I was wondering if i could just find a small cat and put it on right after the header....i dunno what to do...need some help please

 

What does that code mean? Did you get it checked at autozone or something?

 

its warm up catalyst deficiency (bank 1) and no i didn't get it checked at auto zone... the dealership told me that it was throwing that code because there was a factory cat on my headers and by removing that when i put aftermarket headers on that instead of having an 02sensor before the cat and one after...now i have two before since i eliminated the cat on the headers. they aren't going to read properly and stop throwing the code until i have that first cat back.
