Default 95 GSX exhaust

I need to get a turbo back or cat back exhaust. I would like to just do a full turbo back exhaust . This needs to be street legal I am running the stock turbo. There is a possibility that i would put an EVO 16g turbo on it In the future. Can any one help me out? this is for my dad's gsx.

Are you asking what suporting mods you will need? If you are then.. you will need a 2g kit for the 16g, injectors, fuel pump, wideband, SAFC II, MBC. Your clutch wont take over 300bhp for very long so you will need to get one from ACT or something.

no im not asking for supporting mods, i know what i will have to do. Thank you for the info tho. This is my dads car so he wont be changing the turbo any time soon. This is just going to be an exhaust for the stock turbo. He is just going to stick with that for now. If he goes to the 16g it will be a year or more down the road and we will get what we need for that then. We just need an exhaust for the stock turbo.

Pretty much we just want to push the stock turbo for now. It already has a boost gauge and controller and a K&N filter.

Ok cool. 15psi on the stock turbo gives nice spool up. Well as long as your exhaust does not include removing the cat then you are fine. I dont really know your laws but im pretty sure. You can get an exhaust that removes the cat and when you have your smog you can just bolt it back on.

One good idea a member on here had was to remove all the plastic crap that is in front of your intercooler and this makes a big difference.

He wont be racing it but obviously, quicker spool up and higher boost would be nice. What would be a good exhaust system? Like a turbo back. We are getting 13psi right now but that extra 2 psi would be cool. He has the 2nd gen gsx standard and i have a 1st gen tsi fwd auto so i am looking for an exhaust also. I WILL be putting a 16g on it.

I went on slowboyracing.com and found this for the gsx

with this

or this

What is your opinion?

Well your stock fuel system can handle 17psi. A good safe psi is 15. The last one isnt for the GSX i dont think. What i recomend is getting the one at the top and just bolting on your cat for the smog and then removing it after.

Its all personal preference really. I dont really know what the exhausts sold in the US sound like or anything so i really wouldnt know what to tell you. All depends on what kind of sound you want. Im not the one to comment on that.
