Access to Rear Bank Spark Plugs on 2008 Outlander
I've always been able to change my own spark plugs. In 2008 I purchased my Outlander. In the near future the plugs will have to be changed. Three plugs are easily accessible by removing the engine cover. It's the 3 rear plugs that presents a challenge. Looking at the service repair manual it appears the only way to gain access to the rear plugs is by removing the entire intake manifold plenum. Upon closer examination of the engine, I noticed that there are several bolts that hold the plastic part of the plenum to the metal part of the manifold. My question to anyone out there who has already changed their spark plugs: Can the rear plugs be accessed by removing these bolts instead of removing the entire manifold assembly?
Does anyone out there know of any detailed procedure showing how to gain access to those rear plugs?
