gettin really pissed idle issues
ok... i have had this car a few months.. it has 1700 miles on it... it is a 2007 eclipse GT 6 speed..... when i had the car stock.. the idle fluctuates where i can feel the car shake where it feels like it wasnt to stall.. mistubishi assured me it was nothing more than bad gas and to try using BP gas or Shell... ok w/e so i put my intake on the other day.... and it got even worse... i can hear the pulses in the muffler way louder now like pops.. as if something was backed up and then popping out ... and the engine shakes like it wants to stall even more now... and evertying got louder...... so i learned to live with it.. so the other day i started my car... and it was idleing liek always and the tach jumped from about the second line from zero to 1k to about 500 to 1k then 500 again really fast.. freaked me out realllllllllllllly bad then stopped out of nowhere.. there are no engine lights or antying i have brought it to mitusbishi twice now two diffrent dealers.. and some tech guy from the factory even check the car i was there from 10 AM till 5 PM it was horrible... and they jus said it was bad gas cause everyting is comming up fine on the computer... and nothing is mechanically wrong from what they can see... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE GOD ANYBODY.. PLEASE HELP ME.... THIS IS VERY AGGITATING...... I DONT KNO WWHAT TO DO OR WHO TO TURN TO...

i had the same problem with my 01' Eclipse GT. When i unhook the battery the idle gets really shaky for a couple days. I learned that the computer "forgets" all its information from the computer, so deffinetly check your battery to see if its loose or something. After a couple of days, my car runs just fine. So deff. check the battery connection
dont wanna be a smart ***, but make sure you're running unleaded, and not ethanol/diesel. Running a tank of shell/bp 97 will definetly clean it out. I know this doesn't sound like good advice, but drive it. Take it down the interstate, and as you run it at about 60 - 70 mph, it will burn out most of that stuff, and as it is at a constant speed, you don't have to worry about the car dying out on you. If it does, then you could have water in the gas tank, or maybe someone doesn't like you, and put something in there. Just to clean out your injectors, I would drop in a quarter bottle of seafoam. It is an amazing cleaner. I know the car is new, but it does the same thing as an injector cleaner/octane booster. Should help.
