i have a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse gts with a Hks carbon ti exhaust on it and i would like it to be louder..my dads friend was goin to make a custom test pipe but my cat..converter is welded on not bolted so that wont work...i was thinkin about getting the megan racing headers with the downpipe/test pipe it says...will that make the car sound good and loud???

 

Louder isnt always better. I think where your at right now is probably really good. I mean headers definetly will give it more of a sound, but on a na car there really isnt a point to removing the cat with a test pipe. The most i would do is a high flow cat, that will give a bit more sound. But a test pipe will make it sound like Crap.

 

headers will make it louder and raspy though

 

How 'bout not worrying on how "loud" you want to make your ride but how to make it perform better?

But it's not going to "sound good" without the proper setup. It'll probably sound like a sick cow.
