how much extra horse power will an injen short ram intake make on my 95 gst? and sry if this has already been posted but i couldnt find the same topic anywhere else

2-3whp w/ no other mods. the more hp you are running the more it will help you out though... that make since? if you have a 16g turbo w/ all suporting mods and you are runing like 320whp'ish.... than adding an intake that allows a lot more air will help you out alot more. Injen is the best name out there for DSM intakes. they are expensive but you have to pay to play and you always have to pay more for the best.

I am looking at getting my intake and exhaust here soon. What would you say would be the best one to get. I have an Eclipse GST 1995. I have been looking around and a lot of the time they say that it fits the gs and rs models. Will that make much of a difference on my car if i got those parts owning a GST?

 

The difference it will make is that it wont fit.

 

yes, their is absolutly a diffrence. As dusty said, they wont fit because you have a gs-T, Key letter "t".

The parts are diffrent because for your car they attach to the turbo, and in the gs, and rs their made for all motor applications.
Exhaust in your car is made from the 02 housing back, were as the all motor would be from the header back.
Your intake would be attaches to the turbo, where as the all motor intake curves out from the intake manifold.

That's why it's important that you buy the parts that will fit your application.

As for the name brands, it's really up to you. Injen makes very good intakes for 2g eclipes'. Exhaust wise, it's really up to if you willing to pay the big bucks for the best sound. Ultimitly a 3" exhaust makes the same horsepower as any name brand, but what your paying for is the sound.

Check audio clips of diffrent brand exhaust, and choose wich one you like the most, and see if the price is accordinly also.
