Default Intake connection

I am planning on buying an intake for my 95 GST. I just have a question. On the pipe it has three holes. One connects to the BOV and the other of course to the MAF. But there is a little on the opposite side of the BOV connection. Where does this little one connect to?

First of all, what is the boost solenoid? Where is the boost solenoid? Do you have to have it connected? What exactly does this tube do?

the boost solenoid is under the air box, there should be a vacuum line running from the turbo to the boost solenoid, that line should be on the bottom. then another vacuum line should go from the top of the solenoid to the waste gate and be teed off to the intake pipe. it has an electrical connection on the bottom of the boost soleniod that i leave connected even though i dont have vacuum lines hooked to it. it controls the wasegate. i dont need it now because i am running a boost controler.
