bryan bryan bryan, you're gonna sell your rage for cars that are already built to go fast? what ever happened to the econobox love? haha, just playin man. but they're right, a Nissan 240 or a GST would cost at least twice what you're paying on the rage now to insure, then there's the issue of actually getting the car. neither of them in good condition will be cheap.

gonna have to ask around and find out what combo (headers\cat\muffler) sounds the best, some mufflers sound like crap with headers, get a good cat cuz that should get rid of the rasp

You all might laugh at me, but I'm not too concerned about that I put on my header after I already had a plain-jane Magnaflow muffler and I think it sounds pretty good...definately not a bumble-bee can. I put on a high flow cat and left the resonator.(2.4 vs 1.8 also)

But no cats and no mufflers sound even better, just like that on my 3KGT
its a BEAST!!! sounds mean, plus the turbos spool up quicker and the turbos are louder

~If you have an OBD1 cat you can probably get away with drilling it out, but if you have an OBD2 cat, it'll throw a CEL because there is no difference in the exhaust gases after the cat at the second sensor. That is also something you will likely have to re-weld yourself as most exhaust shops will not weld up the illegal cat for you.

As far as I know, 5th Gen Mirage's are OBD2 equipped, but I've got a hallowed out cat on mine and it doesn't throw a CEL.
