Default Is my turbo going to die?

I have my stock 2nd gen turbo at 17psi and i drive it hard. Is this little guy going to hold up? i love the spool up time just i would like more boost, obviously.
And i was thinking that i might as well take my car to the next level and do a FMIC, 660cc injectors, fuel pump, clutch, SAFC II, and a wide band. I just dont know how long my lil turbo will hold out, is there going to be much turbo lag difference if i change turbos? like to a 16g?

it should hold up for a while, but doing all that other stuff is worthless on the stock turbo

How can it be worthless!? It a nice supporting mod setup for a future turbo upgrade and he will for sure so gain from those modifications. Plus those need to done even before a upgraded turbo is installed. Come on John.......think before you speak. As for the turbo just run it till it blows, continue with your plan it sounds like a good one, and lag difference......wouldn't worry about it....in time you will come to love lag.
