hey guys i just bought a new header, and i was wondering if there is anything i need to do to it besides starting it up and retightening it so please give me some info!

 

Dont think there is anything to do. Its just a simple bolt on mod.

 

Being from the musclecar persuasion, I'm used to headers offering a deep performance rumble. What can be expected from an import 4 cyl in terms of sound difference. For instance, I'm contemplating a header and high flow cat, but if my car ever sounds like I trapped a bumble bee in a coffee can I'll kill myself. (Honda's usually sound like this to me... likely from crappy fart can mufflers though)
Any R/A Lancer guys or 2.4 MIVEC guys have this combo? Any comments? I currently only have a magnaflow muffler for exhaust mods.... there are no exhaust kits that I have seen as of yet so that option is gone.

 

ok, i got the header and after 4 hours of work i got it installed, the car has a nice sound and a noticable gain, ill get some pics of it soon

 

lol, mine will be installed next week. I'm not doing the install since I do not have a welder to modify the downpipe and adapt the cat to the exhaust. I can only replace my cat with an OBD2 and they gave me an OBD1 cat with the kit. Look forward to the pics.
