Default Is this a stock cold air intake?

In the nose of my 98 GS-T eclipse, next to the right fog light (left when looking at the nose from in front of the car) there is the plastic moon shaped cutout. There is another cutout on the other side for symetry aswell. On my old 97 GS, there were just plastic blockers for styling, and it is the same on the on side of my 98 GS-T, but on the otherside there is some form of induction. I looked in it and it looks like a filter. Is this a stock cold air intake? Or was this an aftermarket peice? Is that the intake at all? I'm new to the turbo world and when I reach in, it feels like a radiator, not a filter. Can someone with or without a 2ng gen eclipse gs-t or gsx tell me what this is. Is it intercooler related? Thanks for all your help!

No such thing as a stock Cold Air Intake. There all aftermarket. What I am thinking your seeing is your side mount intercooler.

yea, i looked closer and found out it's an intercooler, and yes it is my first turboed car... but gimmie a break, i'm 17. lol. So, it looks like they are just air-cooled intercoolers? I didn't notice any water lines. I'm still learning, but I catch on quick. I've been around cars all my life. I'm a second generation drag racer. I'm also into that jr. dragster thing... yeah, it's kinda cute ... lemme see if i can get a picture of that up aswell. later guys
