Default What happens if i take the cat off?

Im getting a custome cat back exhaust made for my car by my moms bf, he said he could take off the cat converter off but i dont know what really happens if i do that. I know in the county i live in you dont have to get cheacked to see if you have one or not. He also said he could replace the cat converter with some kind of another muffler.

In most cases it will trip a ses, or cel light. There are easy fixes for that though.

What kinda car is this for. Depending on the car it could be more useless to do it though

If you have a GST/GSX then do it if you want more power, you should do this to make sure your cel doesn't come on

If you have a GS/RS it is not really worth it.

On that car, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
