so i just bought an 01 eclipse gt and im hoping to start working on it asap. however, i am mostly car retarded so im learning as i go. i figured the best place to start with upgrades would be the intake section, so any thoughts or advice? college student budget btw lol

you could start by just replacing the stock air box with a cone filter. Thats really cheap and easy

I agree with the 'engineer'!! Baisc car knowledges knows that freeing the cars "breathing" abilities give you a little bit more umph for a cheap buck! So simply replacing the factory air box with a cone filter, or if you save go ahead and go with a CAI or SRI! But I will say to have one is to have another! So go ahead and start investing in exhaust!
