performance chips

RE: performance chips
honestly... i've never really come across a chip that worked. my friend w/ a v6 Mazda 6 bought a unichip for his car. it didnt work so when they sent him a new one it didn't work either, he tried 3 and it never worked. I bought a "performance chip" off ebay a lonnnnng time ago for my 2g gs manual and it was nothing but a lil resistor that came in an ovelope telling me where to put it. that didn't do diddly crap. THEN i bought the Venom 400 for my car and that made a 1 whp difference. i'd say the best thing to do is just to get a SAFCII and tune it yourself. it will cost a lil more b/c you need a wideband w/ it but my friend w/ the mazda 6 put one on his car and went from 282whp - 295whp. that is one HELL of a diference out of just tuning on an N/A car

yes a good tuning device would be a SAFCII like you showed me you can get them used on ebay for as low as 150 bucks (that's what i sold mine for a while back) and you can get a used Wideband for about 200 bucks. then just take it out and adjust the fuel as needed... that simple.
