bad seat motor or blown fuse. check your fuse first, if it's not blown, then you're motor is gone and you'll have to get a new one.

alright thats what my dad told me and we were going to take it to a mechanic and get it fixed but would it be easier to just fix it on my own? depending on what is wrong

checking the fuse will literally take 2 minutes to check and replace. if it's the motor, the seat has to come out and everything be disassebled and then replaced. if you're handy with basic tools and have a shred of common sense, it shouldn't be too bad. if you're in doubt though, take it to a pro.
