I have a 2003 mitsubishi and would like to find and test the coil in the car. I was told that this car does not have a coil pack and that the coil may be in the distributer. Can anyone help me with this?

 

I believe that it is inside of the distributer. Let me know if that is where you found it please ..? I have an 03 Diamante as well. How many miles do you have on yours..?

We have the same issue with #2 misfire. We have changed plug and cleaned injector and still misfires. Tried to remove the distributor to change the coil but after removing the bolts it still will not pull out. Do you know if there are clips attaching it. We don't want to brake anything. Unable to find a service manual.
