i just put a new metal head gasket on my car and i looked at the pisons and thet had 63dTev marking on the top of the pisons and i cant seem to find much info about these pistons all i found out was that they are in the evoIII and there compression is 8.7:1 but nothing about how strong they are or if there forged. if anyone knows anything about those pistons or the evoIII motors please help me out thanks

 

im pretty sure that is just a JDM motor. So i would guess someone ruined the stock motor and swapped in a JDM motor so i would not assume those are any different then stock internals.

 

does anyone know where i can find parts for a evo 3 motor ? im looking for piston rings and the main and rod bearings? the pistons are 63dtev. i have looked all over the web and cant seem to find the correct ones.
