Default car is clicking help asap!!

hey need some quick help asap. I started my car up and its making this steady ticking noise so i was told to change the oil over to synthetic, which i did and its still doing it if i push the gas it gets faster, it seems like though sometimes when i give it gas it wanna go away but doesnt, i looked under car just now as it was running and there was a puddle of oil, it look like it was coming from up around where my oil filter is. can anyone help me find out whats going on? later today im goona put my car on some ramps so see where the oil is exactly coming from.

sometimes the gaskets will get stuck on from the old oil filter that you took off. Obviously if this happens it will leak, not to say that is your problem but its something to check considering you say its coming from the filter area. The other problem is called "lifter tick" and there have been numerous threads about it lately, do a search for it if you want. There really isnt a cure for it, its a common thing.

Lifter tick, Chrysler and Mitsu cars are bad about lifter tick. That's what it sounds like since you mentioned that it follows the RPMs.
Bolts on the oil pan is really isn't a good place to find out that they are missing, lol.
