F4a33 question
The tranny in my GS-T is on its way out, and I'm not exactly in good financial shape. Any suggestions on what I can do that will cost the least money? I'm aware that there are no "cheap" alternatives to anything transmission-related. I'm trying to find a used transmission, at least until I have the money to get a new one. Are there any other cars that use the F4a33?

RE: F4a33 question
your best bet is obviouly a junk yard for the tranny. Try and do a search on here
www.car-part.com
as well as check out this place and give them a call
www.mitsubishigraveyard.com
what exactly is wrong with your? By the tranny code im guessing its an auto. Have you tried a flush

RE: F4a33 question
To be honest, I'm not exactly sure. I brought it to the shop because the overdrive kept turning off and it seemed like it wasn't shifting well from 2nd to 3rd, in addition to it just not feeling that great in general. I thought that hopefully it was just the torque converter or the end clutch, but they said that that wasn't the only problem and that pretty much the whole transmission needed to be re-done. They quoted me $2600. The transmission has 108k on it, so it definitely is around that time. I have not flushed it. My cousin has a friend who has his own transmission shop and I'm going to go see if its giving any codes or anything. The shop I previously brought it to didn't really give me that much info
