i bought a block from a local yard and it came out of a 91 talon tsi turbo now that i look at the block it is not a turbo block can the rods and crank take turbo if i put the turbo pistons in it?
iv searched but cant find this answer thanks for helping the noob
i watched them take it out of the car so i know they did not switch it on me

so you got a block from a 91 tsi that is not turbo? that makes no sense. How was it in there in the first place. But if it truely is a non-turbo block then the pistons should be the only thing that need to be changed for lower compression if you plan on running more than 10psi. However according to vfaq the authur ran 19psi and 300hp on the stock nt pistons. however im sure he had an extremely good tune and mods to be able to do this safely. But i still would not reccomend more than 10psi on nt pistons because of the high compression ratio.

The problem is the pistons in the block dont have the T on them. What he is asking is if he puts the turbo pistons he already has into the block... will the rods be able to take it?
What i think is possible.. is that its a built motor... its unlikely .. but possible. Thats why i want a pic

it stock build for this summer then next winter im going all out
with everything lol can the NT pistons handle stock settings?
i know with the higher comp ill have some more power then with turbo pistons.
all im doing to it this summer is a catback and down pipe and no cat
