so you got a block from a 91 tsi that is not turbo? that makes no sense. How was it in there in the first place. But if it truely is a non-turbo block then the pistons should be the only thing that need to be changed for lower compression if you plan on running more than 10psi. However according to vfaq the authur ran 19psi and 300hp on the stock nt pistons. however im sure he had an extremely good tune and mods to be able to do this safely. But i still would not reccomend more than 10psi on nt pistons because of the high compression ratio.

I remember you!

The problem is the pistons in the block dont have the T on them. What he is asking is if he puts the turbo pistons he already has into the block... will the rods be able to take it?

What i think is possible.. is that its a built motor... its unlikely .. but possible. Thats why i want a pic

No the NT pistons cannot handle stock turbo settings.
the stock nt pistons can handle stock boost if it is tuned correctly. Like i said you should be able to run around 10psi on the stock pistons. But you need to have 93 octane and a good tune to prevent detonation
