yea i run the maf translator and its probable the best upgrade that i have done so far. fuel tunning is simple you just turn the dial to the size of the injectors.

Exhuasts are so damn expensive for imports, they're usually like 1 1/2 to 2 times as expensive as stuff for my mustang and when you get someone for that you're getting twice as much material. My cat-back system with two mufflers, and tail pipes with SS tips was like 270. And you can get equal lenght headers for under 200, there's two of them, lol. I just don't get that part, wish all this stuff was that cheap.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. I was looking for pistons for the 4g64 and got a qoute for $399. Also looked for forged piston on the 1uz and they're only $550! WTF? 4 extra pistons costs only $150 more? I was thinking of trying and find pistons for a v8 that would fit the 4g64 and just buy them since it would be way cheaper. I'd have like an extra set!

lol, yea. I has to have something to do with volume of sales. Plus imports have so many different engines that are just slightly different so you can't use the same part on different ones. The mustang used the same engine block from 1979 to 1995.

It's funny, I'm at almost the exact same place as eclipsegst97 is and we even have the same year, lol. I have an intercooler piping set on the way and will be getting a greddy bov soon. Turbo timer's also in the mail and I'm looking at gauges right now. We'll have to stick together

Turbo Timers are over-rated. I do not recommend the $100 spent on them. The cooling system in the eclipse is good enough not to need one. A slow drive at the end of a run will be just fine. Have you ever watched an EGT drop temps with justleaving it in gear and downshifting?

The intake is another useless piece. I made good power with the stock accordian. To me $120=5-10hp is not worth it. That is not even wheel HP.

He is driving a 2G dsm. The MAS should NOT have ANYTHING removed from it. It will run crappy. That is a 1G mod at most and even now people are just going to the 2G MAS or GM MAFT combo. Do not remove a honeycomb from your 2G MAS.

Exhaust is expensive in some cases, escpecially when you compare prices to the AMERICAN muscle cars.

Little FYI *The DSM is not an Import. Not even concidered a anything close to that by the government. They are catagorized as DOMESTICS* LOL

Yea, but import is a term all it's own despite geographic origin. Like for example a ferrari comes from another country but it's not an "import." And on the other side I think you'd all agree that things like neons are thrown in with the civics of the world and in my book they are, "imports."

Hell, what car isn't an import nowadays? Almost everything is either made or assembled in another country.....I showed my one friend with an SVT Focus that his car was "Made in Mexico" because he kept ragging on about Japanese cars.
