You know, my boyfriend refuses to believe that a 3000GT and Stealth are even similar... and he's really into cars (well, his car, at least... he loves it more than he loves me, I think

Y is that. They are meant to be cousins... just like the eclipse and talon and lazer.

The only thing different between the two is the plastic body cladding and a few options such as active aero on the VR4. Other than that they are identical, made at the same plant in Japan.

Were any made at diamondstar in bloomington IL? I only saw eclipses, but i didnt pay much attention to them back then.

Nope, all of the 3s models were made in Japan. They are not regarded as DSM cars because there was no collabaration between Chrysler and Mitsu in the development of the cars.
