Default RE: 3000gt or mitsubishi eclipse?

20 year old owner of a 3000GT SL here. Yeah....agreeing with Michael and Emonz. I honestly wish I had stuck with a simple Eclipse or possibly even a PoS Honda to start out with. The 3000GT I picked up was in pretty good condition, but taking care of the maintence on it is difficult, with everything else. Look. I go to a community college and live with my parents, and I still have problems with upkeep. Don't buy a 3000GT unless you're wealthy or sold your soul to the devil, lol. Get something inexpensive to begin learning how to control a car and whatnot, whilst still having the money to keep it up. I thought I would be able to handle it and still have money left over.

Haha, not so much...

And don't forget, no matter how good of a driver you are, doesn't mean you aren't going to get pulled over. And those tickets will kill you, and put a huge dent in your bank.

That said, I love my car to death. Perhaps compromise, if you want a good sports car, and go with a basic NA 3000GT...Less power, still fairly good gas mileage, a smidgen easier to maintain, etc. *shrug*
