there is an exhaust leak in my vr4. i did a head gasket job and i think i might of forgotten something because the rear exhaust where the pipe meets with the rear turbo is making loud sound like a truck or disel engine. does it have an metal o ring that places in the turbo? can it be a seal or some sort that i forgot to put where the turbo meets? can turbo make disel or bike sounds? please help me. no oil leaks from the turbo only bike sound when i rev.

 

There is a steel gasket at each end of the EGR pipe, which bolts to the top of the rear turbo and the back side of the intake plenum. The one on the back of the plenum is difficult to install, and sometimes falls out during installation. This can cause an exhaust leak. Otherwise, there's a steel o-ring and a metal gasket that fits between the turbo and the exhaust manifold, and also a gasket between the turbo and the rear precat/O2 housing.
