Default 6G72 TT engine

Does anyone have any ideas about where I can find a 6G72 TTVr4 engine for a 1998 Mitsubishi 3000Gt. I have found many on ebay for sale but none of them fit a 98 model. I have looked all over the internet for this engine and cant find a used or new engines. I would even possibly buy a SL engine and rebuild it with the right compression and add the turbos maybe. I have looked at 3si and 3sx websites also. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Well along those lines of thinking I could put a Chevrolet 572 in it also. I want this to be a direct fit not a bunch of major modifications. I have already asked every person selling one and they said it will not fit. If they really thought it would fit they would sell it to me since that's what they are doing on ebay. I appreciate the post though. Thanks

Im not disputiung the fact that they all F***ing fit, I already asked 3si if you can read above and there are to many modifications to make if I put a 92 or 94 engine in there. I should have known not to ask for help on this website. Bunch of BS.

you have a 98 Vr4?

The engines are exactly the same, you just need to swap the intake manifold because of the sensors if you wanted to throw an engine from a 94 Vr4, or whatever other year.

last time i needed a used engine for a vehicle, i went to www.car-part.com and did a search, they are a used parts locator and will tell u how many miles away from you the part is and list all the different prices, i was able to find a good engine with a 30 day waranty this way, might help,

but you were willing to modify an n/a engine to turbo it... but not a turbo engine from a different year, that you just need to swap a manifold?

You make no sense...

93-99 TT engines are interchangeable. Just swap over intake manifolds and you are all set. I had a 98 vr4 before... this is solid information
