6G72 is the v6 motor. The 3000gt and stealth had both a twin turbo and non turbo dohc 6g72 motor.

the 00-05 eclipse GT and GTS also have a 6g72 motor but it faces 180 degrees opposed from the 3000gt and stealth and it is a sohc version with higher compression pistons, both have the same rods.

The motors are not interchangable because the face opposite directions and mount the opposite from each other. And the DOHC version has bigger heads (obviously, being that it has 2 cams each instead of 1) so a eclipse would not have space to fit it.

The Twin turbo version is def alot faster than any of the non turbo versions. But again you cant use it in an eclipse. There are plenty of eclipse owners who have build there cars and put turbo kits in them and made some ok power off of them though. Just search around the internet for the following names, Tearstone, Mike rules (or rulez) better yet search on club3g.com or go right to the source and go on Mitsuoafl.com and talk to them directly.
