Default 6g75 swap for 3000GT?

Hey can anyone out there help me out? I found a 3000GT Vr4 that i'm pretty interested in, unfortunately the engine is not in working order, so i was in the market for a new one, and i came across the 6g75 for the most recent gen of eclipses and the 6g74 GDI from the Diamante. I'm a power freak, but i'm no car guru, in fact i'm still in school, so i was wondering, does anyone out there know whether or not these engines are compatible or worth considering?
