Default 6G75 forged engine project

Here are some pics from my forged engine build from another forum.

The end result is an engine with compression ratio of 8.5:1 from 10:1

The pistons were custom forged to match each individual bore.

Rods are from the 6G74 (Magna/Diamante) they are the same.

Crankshaft was nitride treated and bearing shells replaced with harder materials.

Whole lot was balanced.

Am driving it around now with a supercharger at 7.5 psi.

The aim is to increase boost to 12 psi.

The car runs Propane as it's primary fuel, with an ECU switch to gasoline when power demands it.

Hope you enjoy the pics and get some inspiration.

The engine is deemed bullet proof.

Some photos of the machine shop doing my rebuild.
The guys are the owners of Engineworx In Australia.
This appears to be the first 6G75 forged build.

note the new rod's busihing, the pin is tapered inside to reduce weight.

note the massive improvement in material mass

Here is the engine bay with the completed engine and supercharger
(The forged 6G75 is a spare engine, the original engine which still has 8 years warranty left is on the shelf....)

Note the Sprintex supercharger at the rear next to firewall...
Will be going from 7.5 psi to 12 psi as soon as a bit of engine running in has occurred....

Work done.....
-pistons custom made by SPS forgeing company in Australia.
-rods from the US..."Pauter" brand
-arp rod bolts
-nitride treatment on crankshaft
-CNC heavy duty bearing shell
-balancing by removing crank material, replacing with heavier mass dowel
-head port and polish
-cams untouched
-stock head gasket
-8.5 static compression ratio
-sump gaskets,etc...stock
-cast rings supplied by pauter
-no rebore, measurement of each bore and custom piston each cylinder.
-light hone, engine had only done 25k miles out of a wreck.
