Mitsubishi 3000GT During it's production run, and after, the 3000GT was a pure sports car offering forced induction and all wheel drive, as well as smooth aerodynamic styling.

i think some mods are ok as long as they are put on right and theyre not crap to begin with. but once you start putting on a turbo or messing with the internals of the engine is where i might get a littlw nervous imo. i do like the stock look of most cars but think there is some leway with performance.

yeah,and with fuel costs now,its alot less economical to fool with some model cars.This 3000gt is the first car Ive owned that requires premium fuel,havent had the chance to run a complete tankful through it yet,but am already dreading the final tally....[sm=bounceybounce.gif]

its going to be like 64 dollars. i did it lol im broke. also dont try putting in another gas at least not continuously. it wasn't good for me. i thought i was saving nd it was going to be ok. it wasn't. haha, its really just a car so i wasnt like mad or anything i just was like ooops, wont do that any more.

Yea heavyfoot86, the only company that really makes an exhuast setup for the NA cars is Borla. I believe their used to be an APC single shot system but that has been discontinued I believe. Your best bet in my opinion is to do a custom Cat-Back system. That way you can run the size pipe you want with whatever Muffler you want to run with it. I have a custom singled up 2.5" Cat Back ending in a Dragger muffler which absolutely screams when I get on it. Everybody who hears it says my car sounds incredible. Also, I don't know if you know or not but you know how your car has dual mufflers? Well it isn't a dual cat back system. In fact, it is actually a single system going to the left with a small pipe leading from the left muffler to the right one to let off additional heat. If you try to do a custom dual system you have to be careful because their is a hose carrying fuel right about where the pipe to the right muffler would go. I chose to go single because of that. Plus it meant less bends for a more free flowing system. I attached a picture of mine. It cost me about 200 dollars to do the custom piping plus the 50 dollars for the muffler off of ebay haha. It was worth it. Peace!

Very first thing on an SL model.. replace the damn sway bar in the back.. its week and crappy.. put a VR4 sway bar back there. best money well spent.

Building a car can be done many many ways.. are you wanting to drag race, street race or out run cops in the back roads?..haha

Or do you want to be a cool poser to just show off with burn outs?

Cams make real power... turbos make great power at third gear... put in a standard shift.... build the suspension and slam it on the ground so you can spank mustangs in the curves. But the real answer is ALL of the above.. just depends on how deep your pockets are.. under 1k.. go with sway bar and cams and larger injectors..
under 2k.. Same as above but add cat back system/ headers cold air kit... etc..
under 3k.. all above then chip it...
over 5k... they make a mean supercharger for the 3k .. really depends on how much you want to spend..
Im just an old red neck street racer.. think about what you want to do with the car first.. if you wanna drag race.. start looking at investing in the all wheel drive first thing.. front wheel drive drag racer is kinda fail.
