ok i bought this car with a bad transmission and now all the junkyards are telling me that only a transmission out of another 1994 sl will work they said no other year will work is this true??

 

5spd or auto?

 

sadly its an auto v.v

 

They're all interchangeable, as long as it's from a DOHC 3000GT. You just have to swap some sensors over, etc.

if you get a 91-92, you will need to swap over the axels along with the transmission. Any other year, you just may need to swap over a few sensors, but otherwise they all bolt directly up.
