95 3000GT with problems
Hi,
I have a 95 3000GT that has been running fine. Got into it yesterday and cranked it up. 3 lights stayed on the dashboard. The battery light, the water coolant light and the Brake light. When I release the brake, the light dims but doesnt turn off. The A/C is not working either and the air conditioner light is blinking instead of a steady green? Any idea what could be causing this all of a sudden?
Thanks for any feedback.

Its not a fuse or anything like that... When you try to crank the car dose the light on all the dashboard and speedo light up... but dimer then before???
If so its gonna be your battery is low or that your Alternator is shoot or that the belt is loose and will not charge the alternator/battery see if the belt is tight or loose.
Get a battery charger and see what your voltage is... and try charging the battery...
After the battery is charged the car should start but the battery may not hold the charge or isn't getting charged which will point you in the direction of the alternator/belt... Next if thats the cause then your belt will have to be changed out and problem done...
And as for the A/C the battery dont have enough juice for anything so it wont work and also power windows and all that will not work cause of the battery...
PM me and I'll talk to you and give me some more details about the sound of the engine when you try to crank it and what not...
Cheers Mike

First of all. Thanks to everyone for responding to my problem. I dont know very much about cars and all the input was a big help.
After I got your advice, I got home from work and took a look under the hood. Sure enough (as everyone suggested) there are 2 belts on the drivers side and one of them was off and just sitting down at the bottom of the car. It was the front outer belt. I pulled it out and it was not broken. It was just off. So, I looked a little closer and discovered that one of the silver round pulleys that the belt goes around was sitting down there with it.
So, now I have another question. Will the car overheat if I try to make it to the garage or is the water pump on a different belt? I am assuming that if the battery will hold up for 15 minutes, I can make it to the mechanic.
Thanks again to everyone for the feedback.
