Default base model -> VR4 project

so i have just come by a 1993 VR4 parts car 30min away for $800. i basically have 3 options for what i'm planning on doing: A. i can swap the VR4 parts onto my 1993 base model and turn it into a 5speed with awd and then i'd get a jdm engine, tranny, ecu, etc for $2500. B. i can sell my car and use the money to fix up the vr4. C. i can keep both cars, save up tofix the vr4, and still have a car to drive till it's ready. i'm sort of leaning towards option A because my car is in such good condition with only 80k miles and new paint. unfirtunatley it would mean it being out of order till after winter. the vr4 has 130k miles on it. if i went with option B then i would optain close to $6500-6800 for my car and have all that money to work with. the vr4 has flood damage so the interior would have to be redone, which my dad can do since he's into appulstery. the engine has a knock in it so i would still need the jdm set and i'd get everything to make it newer. it could also use a nice paint job since it's current black paint isnt at its best. if anyone has any comments or advice i would really appreciate it. thanks

Really thats all you would get for your car. I think you could get a lot more. I know the kelly blue book on my car was 8000 for a 96 with 103,000 miles. What year is your car and is ther anything really wrong with it. I know my car was in pretty good condition. I also know there was 2 SLs in really good condition with 70 thoussand on them and they were selling for around 13k.

But yea id say go with option A the only thing would be it being out for that long. Plu itd be sweet to have an even more unquie 3kgt haha. But thats me

i think that you should go with option c. then you could have your DD and have your weekend racer at the same time.

well i think i'm actually starting to lean towards option B now. if i can get $7000 for my car then thats $7000 spending money on restoring the vr4. since it did have flood damages, the carpets are gonna have to be redone. does anyone know if you can get that stuff from a mitsubishi dealership or something?

My tranny is bad. But my engine has new Piston rings, timing belt, water pump, head gaskets for about 500 miles. Heads were ported and polished. The engine has 150K miles but like I said, replaced a lot of things and also replaced head with 43K. Will include alternator, wire harness, ac compressor, power steering pump. I'm asking $1800+shipping

i think you should get the second one and sell your car. if you think about it, if you have a 3000gt vr4 and n/a sitting in your garage, which one are you mostly likely to drive everyday. lol
