Hey im looking at 3000gt's and i was wondering what is the best year and model? im guessing a VR4. i like the idea of a 6 cylinder AWD turbo

 

personally i like the 99 vr-4 but only 281 were sold in america....

 

i heard the fastest off the lot was the 97 vr4

 

Plus, you will pay out the *** for a 99 vr-4.

 

i think someone was on here selling a 99 not too long ago for about 25k. So that tells ya right there

 

Yea 99 was the best looking but the trick is to buy a 91-93 VR4 for mad cheap like 6K and do a 99 conversion on it for like 2.5K. Then you have your very own 99VR4 for like 9K hahaha. Yea the 97 was the fastest out the door with a 4.8 to 60. It had to do with the electronics. Then once you get a VR4 get yourself a boost controller and dial your stock 9b turbo's up to about 14 or 15 psi and you should be happy for a while lol.

 

i thought it was 281 or 287 produced but only 45 were sold in the US?

 

not sure...im not an expert but i know the 99 style gto was sold from 99-01 in Japan....and there has to be more then 45 of them in the united states....check out this site for more info
