I hear so much about the best oil. In your guys opinion what is the "best" oil?

I run a good synthetic in my VR-4. Change every 5,000 miles.

Mobil 1


...but any fully synthetic oil from a reputable manufacture, such as Castrol, Valvoline, Royal Purple, et. al. will work just fine.

Shell Helix is the best, but its also $65.00 a quart.
other than that, Mobil 1 is the best.
as for conventional oils, I like Havoline formula 3. Seen plenty of engines run for extrememly long times with no trouble whatsoever.
You can also get Red-Line. Its really good,
