There are not many "kits" out to do the conversion. extremeboost does them on a per order basis. Sometimes with used parts or new, depending upon the request. Rippmods is developing a supercharger kit for the DOHC motors and already has one for the SOHC motors.

Your best bet would be to find a wrecked TT in a salvage yard and either use the parts on your (friends) motor, or swap it out.

DynamicRacing
ImportPowerOnline
these are a couple of reputable suppliers for performance parts.

Check out 3si.org/forum. Use the search function, there are many threads that talk about this. You will find all you need to know there.

First of all, we need to know if your friend has the SOHC or DOHC motor. The difference is 8.9:1 to 10:1 compression ratio along with a lot of electronic differences. If it is the SOHC, you are screwed. You can get a supercharger kit for $3,500 or you can do a conversion to a VR-4 motor, but it will be FWD, not AWD. No, you cannot simply put the DOHC heads on the SOHC block because the water jackets do not match up. So hopefully it is a DOHC motor. Feedback would be great. Thanx,

You can do a TT conversion or a Vr4 swap. The TT conversion is the cheaper route but you can put down some good power with the 10:1 compression. I am currently doing a vr4 swap/single turbo/rebuilt motor right now.
