Default Can I interchange spoilers?

I don't like the hoop spoiler that is on the 1997-1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GTs
Can I put the 1991-1996 spoiler on instead?
Will any holes show?

Thanks

Michelle

I think they are interchangable without any modifications.

You willing to do an even trade? I have a green 95, spoiler is in perfect condition you just might have to paint and fill in a hole but im not sure if the center support is bolted on. I've been wanting to convert to a hoop.

It will leave holes. The older spoilers have completely different bolt spacings, none will line up. The center hole also needs to be pretty big for the wire to the high mounted stop light. I just put a '91 3000GT stylespoiler on my Stealth. You think your hoop looks bad, my spoiler looked like a skateboard designed by Salvador Dali! (No offense to the previous post that shows a Stealth spoiler, art is in the eye of the beholder...)

I explained myself poorly. I believeit will leave holes. The '91 spoiler needs 6 holes, two about 4 inches apart (one above the other) 1 inch in from the edge of the rear hatch on each side of the hatch, and two in the center. One of the center holes is almost 1 inch in size to fit the plug on the wire for the stoplight. There are no holes on the fenders at all, only the back hatch. I assume, but am not absolutely sure, that your spoiler also attaches to the fenders, and would leave holes there when removed. The easy way to tell is if any part of the spoiler "stays down" when you open the hatch, then that portion will leave holes when you remove it.

If anyone wants to remove their Stealth spoiler, it leaveslarge holes and an ugly, unpainted exposed area under the window. It can be filled in and painted, but it needs attention and leaks. The ends of the spoiler also look different due to the difference in the tail lights, but I still like it better. I also just realized the Stealth pictures I was taking light hearted shots at was the MODERATOR's car! How do you edit posts?

I don't mind, people either love or have the banana spoiler...more seem to hate it than love it.

I'm pretty sure the hoop spoiler pieces that are on the fenders are attached with adhesives of some sort, they are not bolted on. I've never removed one personally, but that is what a buddy of mine told me.
