Default Car won't start

Hello Everyone,

My Car: 1992 Mitsubishi 3000gt SL

Issue: Car will not start without popping clutch. For the longest time I would just unplug the battery cables every time I stopped and turned the car off. Then when I got ready to leave, I would plug the cables and it would start, but sluggish start. Now, I unplug and plug the cables, but the car still won't start until I push it and pop the clutch. I hear a click when I turn the key, but no ignition. Once it is on, it stays on until I turn it off. Then Same thing all over.

Anyone know what causing this to happen? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Last repair (ECU changed)

Do you think that the battery cables could be the cause. I changed the terminals, but not the actual cable. I was thinking maybe Alternator or starter since the car stayed on after I pop the clutch and start it. I am going to replace the battery and hope for the best.

So you turn the key and you get a click...get a prybar and hammer and hit the starter and have someone start the car. Sounds like you have a bad starter.

Sounds like the starter. If you changed the terminals on the safe side get your battery tested at auto zone. But I dout it is the battery. If you just here a click with no ignition starting its the starter. But on the other hand it can be the alternator draining your battery at the same time so check the both of them out. Sounds like alot but does not hurt to check them out. So 2 main things the alternator and the starter. But good luck bro I had the same broblem so check those out.
