Question Difference between 3000GT and 3000GT VR4

I know the VR4 has turbo, and the other doesn't. I'm wondering what the power difference (acceleration, top speed, etc) would be between the two. I've found a couple regular 3000s that are in my price range, and I really like 'em, but I want something fast, with some pull. The VR4s that I see are about 2x-3x the price, so they're a little out of my range.

I heard the VR4 has about a 5 and a half 0-60, which is great.. What would non-turbo 3000's be? I can't seem to find that..

If the power is quite a bit different, would it even be worth my time to use a turbo kit? The parts + the labor would probably be another $1000-$1500, as I have no idea how to use the kits.. and even if it came with instructions, knowing me, I'd probably f*** something up beyond repair.

Thanks.

Hi,
I've been curious about them, so casually kept an eye on pricing - you CAN get a 3000GT VR4 for a very afforable price - just keep looking.

The VR4 is actually a twin-turbo, AWD, and I believe also AWS - It gives the Corvette a run for its money, to put it in perspective.

If you google "enter car year and make/model, 0-60 time" you should be able to find some useful information for that.

If you want a turbo car, I would simply buy a turbo car - unless if you like the fun factor of modifications. Being what it is, the VR4 also has a whole lot more technology involved in it - to handle the power and speed.

In other, simpler words - the VR4 is not "just a turbocharged 3000GT."

Good luck!
