Default ENGINE SWAP Pleas Help

I am new to this site. I have a 98 3000GT base model. I want to convert it to a VR-4 TT car. YES i know this is alot of work and alot of money. I am looking for a used engine and transmission complete. I know I have to get a new rearend to make it AWD.I have another car so this is going to be a project so I have plenty of time to do it. I am trying to find a complete engine from top to bottom. If anyone has any ideas about where to get the necessary components to do this swap I would appreciate it. Also if you know of everthing I need to do the swap that would help also. I have been searching around and have found some for $3500 for engine and trans but they are 92 and below. Thanks for all your help.

ur honestly better off buyin a VR4 for around 14K than spending $10K on a 4000 dollar vehicle
i hope u take my opinion into consideration
however it is YOUR money

I agree with Daniel. I had a 3000GT base, although it came with leather, infinity, and other goodies. I liked it the way it was. I recently bought a '95 VR-4 with 58,000 miles on it and it is like new. Don't put out the effort. It will take more time and money than you think, and you may not like the results.
