Have you looked at Stealths at all? They are generally a little cheaper than their Mitsu cousins.

Here is a 92 Stealth with a 99 front end conversion.

Actually I think I like the converted version better than the real one...

I prefer the stock look of my car as opposed to the 99 conversion...the big mouth opening reminds me of a carp.

Hey Hollyannaeree,
Do you live in Cali? It was preety easy to finda VR4 on craigs list. And I got it for $5000 with a car fax, rebuild engine and all the paper work to prove it. Just have alittle buyers beware.

Why are you looking for a 92? The 91s and 93s are the same as the 92s. I was selling a 93 Vr4 a few months ago for $5000 befor it got totaled. If you do the 99 Conversion you also need either 99 Headlights or 2g Stealth headlights. My personal favorite is 1g Stealths with the 99 3k front end.

One thing on the 91's and early production 92's is the output shaft to the transfer case is 18 spline. They upgraded to a 25 spline during the 92 production run (mine was built in March of 92 and has the 25 spline).
The 18 spline will not handle repeated launches, even at stock power.
