Default HELP!: having a problem with my anti-theft system

I've been having a problem with my anti-theft system, it keeps going off everytime I open my door unless I disconnect the battery when I exit the car. When I want to get back in I have to put the key on ACC or ON and then reconnect the battery and then I can drive. I have to repeat that process everytime i want to use the car. I dont know if anyone else has had this problem or what it was and how they resolved it. I dont want to take it to a shop and have them charge me for somthing that I can easily do myself.

So, it's still goes off even after you unlock the door from the driver's side door lock?

Stock alarm or aftermarket? Some installers are quite the hackers when it comes to aftermarket set ups.

yes it goes off even after I unlock the drivers side door with the key, as soon as the door opens wether I lock it when I get out, it goes off. I have to disconnect the battery everytime I leave to avoid the problem.

Perhaps the "disarm/arm" wirethat goes to the door has been knocked off to where it no longer disarms the alarm? Try the passenger side...never hurts, lol.
Do these cars even arm/disarm when only the key is used with the factory alarm, like every other Mitsu/Chrysler car?

Without researching the manual, I've got no idea. My RT has an alarm gremlin that makes it go off on its own when I leave the doors locked. Lucky for me, I live in a area that I don't have to worry about locking my doors.
