I want to have a high horse power car and a fast car. but i think im not going to be able to get what i want out of my talon. Can some one tell me a little bit about 3000gt's? like what size engine it has. cause i found this site with staged upgrades and it was only like 5k to have 600 horse power

The 3KGT has a 3 liter engine. Stock ('93 and up) has 320 HP at the wheels. You can increase this fairly safely by increasing the boost. Mine has a simple orifice set into the boost line with the stock controller disconnected and plugged. It has about 16 psi verses the stock 12 psi. This with a custom catback exhaust and modified air intake gives me about 360 HP. I've seen the staged kits you can get that can give you 700 HP and beyond. One even warns you not to buy unless you are sure you can handle speeds over 200 MPH. Fact is, this engine can produce up to 900 HP with the right equipment. SCARY! I'm comfortable with mine where it's at. I estimate the quarter mile just below 12 at about 130 MPH.

The car comes with 320 Crank HP in the 2gen (94-99) 300 Crank HP in 1gen (91-93)

Are yuo saying that with those mods you listed that your car will run an 11.999999 or better? Maybe 12.9 or better sure...but not 11's bro. The DR staged upgrades are nice...but a little pricey. There is EASILY over 500 WHEEL HP out there with proper tuning and just letting the car BREATHE!

Michael is correct...

Gary - if you are only getting 360 crank HP with 16psi, make sure you don't have a boost leak or major problem... One of my Stealth buddies runs 16psi with all else bone stock and gets 365 to the wheel (about 390 or so crank.)

16 psi on stock 9b's wont push you to 365 AWHP...thats just too high. Unless you have a LOT of supporting mods to it as well. You are looking at ROUGHLY 320 AWHP @ 16-17 psi with full BPU. They come stock with ROUGHLY 270 AWHP on 2gens. Might even be a little less. 16 psi is ONLY 4 psi higher than stock and its also about ALL the the 9b's can push effectively. So guys, unless you are upgrading your turbos...your still under 350 WHP.
