Default which is faster

I was wondering in a race who would win a 2003 oz ralley lancer with intake, headers, chip, exhaust, or a 99 gs eclipse with exhaust, intake. both cars are sticks..

i'd have to go with the Lancer. Nothin against the Eclipse but there's alot more done to boost performance in the Lancer.

unless the lancer driver doesnt know hoe to drive then he should win fairly easily. like sanguinius said, its had more done to it. even if they were both stock, dont lancers have more hp?

Yeah I believe that ralley lancer came stock with a touch more HP than the Eclipse. But it;s not only that but also the power to weight ratio. There's ALOT less weight in the lancer than the Eclipse. So even bone stock the Lancer has the Eclipse. But I also agree with 97red if the driver doesn't know what he's doin then the eclipse has it.

DSMTalon has the right idea, and many of you guys are focusing mostly on the engine performance, not the "car" performance. Remember, once the engine makes the power, it has to pass through the transmission. The 420a Transmission is more performance oriented than the 4g9x transmission. Different gearing means different overall performance. Only way to truly tell is to race them.
