There is a motor in there that is likely to be bad. WHen you flip it from auto to "off" does it sound like its trying to do anything?

no it doesnt sound like its doing anything. i was hoping that maybe there was some way to manually lower the wing. could it be that maybe a fuse or something went out?

well i checked all the fuses and they were fine. So i think you were right, the motor prolly went out. if i cant find a way to put it back down imma buy an aftermarket or a stock 3000gt spoiler. just outta curiosity does the raising and lowering of the spoiler actually have a purpose or is it just for show?

Eh.... Im sure it changes the drag coefficient by a (almost) useless digit... but to me it would seem that its mostly for show. Its cool... but damn near pointless, IMO.

The only wind tunnel test I've seen concerning the active aero was done by some guy in Russia. His findings were it did make a difference at high speed. I cannot find the page now though.
