Hey guys, I have a quick question. I bought this car for 1500 bucks from some old guy. He had it sitting for 5 months, and said all he put in it is the crappy gas (87) I know 3000's call for 93 so im thinkin it might have somthing to do with the gas. Anyway, after the car has been running for a while, if I floor it, it seems like it wants to bog, sometimes really hard, like its starving for fuel or cutting out on a cylinder. It also does this in a sharp turn with WOT. I ran injector cleaner thru it and filled it up with premium, but it didnt work. Whats up? also. Today i noticed it sounding like it was hitting boost cut...and i know its not this becasue i have no turbos lol....any help would be appreciated

 

hmm if i were you i'd take it to a mechanic to get it checked out

 

that sucks, what year is it? some of the older cars have nasty little idler sencer that controls the are fuel ratio and gets cloged easy even if the CEL dosn't come on. you might have to get it replaced and thier very pricey. just ease of on the gas for now and keep putting the cleaner in it couple of fillups it might work. chevron makes a pretty good complete system cleaner, and if you can find it Mcall's auto prod. is the best.
